New York Jets star safety Calvin Pryor stopped by Quinnz Pinz in Middletown on Monday to bowl for fun and to help out Orange County children who belong to Big Brothers Big Sisters. This is Pryor's first ever bowl-a-thon. He told patrons that he usually plays video games in his down time but wanted to do something for the community and a Jet teammate suggested a bowl-a-thon.

Pryor was in good spirits, even though his Jets lost to Buffalo 22-17 on Sunday and were eliminated from the playoffs. The crowd, mostly Jet fans, was also in good spirits bowling with Calvin for the evening and the proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County. Pryor signed memorabilia and had plenty of pictures taken with the children of the organization throughout the night.

Owner Robert Quinn Jr. would like to see more athletes or celebrities come and set up a charity for people to participate in. Judging by the turnout of over 100 people, I am sure there will be another event like this in the near future.
