It's kind of hard to outrun a helicopter...just saying.

WCAX reports that the New York State Police have made some serious transportation upgrades. And by that, I mean they've added a helicopter to their fleet. The New York State Police got a Huey Helicopter for the Northern region of the state.

According to WCAX, the New York State Police have only had the helicopter for about a week but have already used it for a mission. Hikers were on a mountain when one got injured, and they were able to treat the injury.

In the event that a call comes in where the helicopter is needed, the New York State Police will fly out and assess the severity of the situation from the air, according to WCAX. If the situation is stable enough, they will toss down a message with a homemade tool.
