NBA Player and Hudson Valley Native to Host Basketball Camp

A NBA star is bringing his skills back to his hometown. Luckily for us, his hometown is right here in the Hudson Valley.

In 2017 he was the 24th first round pick in the NBA Draft and made his way to Denver to play for the Nuggets. Before he was playing in the big leauges, Tyler Lydon was breaking ankle in the Hudson Valley.

Lydon played for Pine Plains high school starting as a freshman in 2011. He helped lead the Bombers to section 9 Championship in 2012 and 2013, then in 2013 lead the team to the NYS Championship game.

Tyler played college ball for Syracuse University and made a monumental block against Gonzoga to take Syracuse to the Final Four in 2016.

Once the basketball season is over, Tyler will make his way back to the Hudson Valley and give back to his community. He will be hosting the Tyler Lydon Dream Big Basketball Camp from June 25 to the 29.

It will be an instructional basketball camp for children in 3rd grade to 10th. Tyler will be on site as well as special speakers to teach kids developmental basketball skills.

There is $275 registration cost for each camper.
