Marie Garvey, A Newburgh Resident, Dies at 98

Marie Garvey a resident of the Town of Newburgh, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Elant in Fishkill, NY.  She was 98.

Marie was born on June 26, 1918 in New York City.  She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Brennan.  She loved to get her hair done, go shopping and spend time with her family.  She was loved and cherished by many.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Sullivan (Patrick) of New Windsor, NY; and Gail O’Donnell of Newburgh, NY; her granddaughters, Suzanne Tudico (Brett); Kristen O’Donnell; and Jaclyn Sullivan.  Marie also had three great-grand children; Kaitlyn, Robbie, and Thomas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Tuesday, January 3 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY.  A Chapel Service will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, January 4, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. Burial will follow the service.
