Man Accused of Pointing Loaded AR-15 Rifle at Drivers in New York
A man is accused of pointing a loaded assault rifle at drivers in New York.
On Monday shortly before 3:00 p.m., New York State Police received a report of a menacing complaint that occurred on I-90 in the town of Dunkirk.
A truck driver reported that a male passenger of a silver Ford F150 pointed what appeared to be an assault rifle at him, out the window of the truck, while traveling on the Thruway.

Responding troopers located and stopped the F150 in the area of mile marker 468.
While interviewing the occupants, a Stag Arms AR-15 loaded with a 30-round magazine was observed in the vehicle, along with a bag containing an additional 125 live rounds, police say.

The passenger, 23-year-old Tyler S. Ringwood of Illinois, was taken into custody. He was subsequently charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree (loaded firearm); criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree (large capacity ammunition feeding device); criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree (assault rifle), all felonies and menacing, and a misdemeanor.
Ringwood was arraigned before the Town of Brant Court and was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $500 cash bail or bond.
The driver of the F150 was not charged, police say.
