A man who is accused of robbing and assaulting a Hudson Valley victim was found and arrested at Applebee’s.

On Friday, New York State Police at Cortlandt responded to Wenonah Road in Putnam County for a reported burglary and assault. The man told authorities that he was attacked by a man, later identified as 32-year-old Julian A. Moreno of Cortlandt in his garage.

Moreno is accused of hitting the man in the head with the crowbar during a fight between the pair. A neighbor called 911 after hearing pleas for help from the victim.

During the scuffle, the man was able to gain control of the crowbar and hit Moreno. Moreno then fled the Putnam Valley home on his motorcycle.

With the help of the Danbury Police Department, Moreno was located at Applebee’s on Federal Road in Connecticut. Moreno was arrested by Danbury Police and lodged as a fugitive from Justice.

Moreno was transported back to New York and charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Moreno is due to appear in Putnam Valley Court on Oct. 6.
