Joan was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for over fifty years, serving as President of the Auxiliary, as well as Treasurer. She joined the Powelton Club in 1960 and served as Secretary on the Board of Directors for fifteen years. Joan also was a member of the Board of Directors for St. Luke’s Hospital. Joan loved people and was always interested in hearing about their families and all their accomplishments. Due to health issues, she recently had to leave her beloved Newburgh to move near her daughter in Queensbury, NY. She was already making wonderful new friends while keeping in touch with those she hated to leave.
