Which Fairs Can We Attend In The Hudson Valley This Summer?

I'm thankful that it's fair season! I love that we can attend these local fairs to play games, go on rides and indulge in the food. Each one has their own vibe and great things that we can experience. The overall atmosphere are fun with a sense of nostalgia for all!

We recently attended the Orange County Fair in Middletown to kick off the summer. Later this month, we can go to the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck.

This week, we can go another one of my favorite fairs, the Ulster County Fair in New Paltz!

What Can We Experience At The Ulster County Fair In New Paltz, NY?

The Ulster County Fair in New Paltz will take place August 4, 2026 until August 9, 2026. I have always enjoyed attending this fair as so many Hudson Valley residents do.

Personally, I love seeing the farm animals on site, getting fair food and fresh squeezed lemonade! Sometimes, I go through the Fun House or play a random game as I'm walking by.

The Ulster County Fair is celebrating 138 years of this community tradition!

This year, we can look forward to their live entertainment and fireworks. We can also experience their daily entertainment with mermaids during an aquatic show.

They have unique things to us to experience only at the Ulster County Fair including a Tractor Pull, Corn Shucking Contest, demonstrations and more!

Sneak Peek Of A New Ride At The Ulster County Fair In New Paltz This Summer

Carnival Warehouse shared an exciting video about a new ride that we can try at the Ulster County Fair. They highlighted Dreamland Amusements new Artificial Intelligence and how it,

"Was built by Technical Park of Italy and is the first traveling version of its kind in the USA."

Dreamland Amusements also shared a post on social media stating,

" The future is here
The AI ride is making its premiere at the Ulster County Fair—the first fair to feature this brand-new attraction!"
