New York Murder Suspect On The Run For Second Time

This is the second time that Burham is on the run. The 34-year-old "survivalist" was on the run after police deemed him a suspect in the murder and rape of his girlfriend and the mother of his child Kala Hodgkin in Jamestown, NY, on May 11, 2023. According to her obituary, Kala was a loving mother and her family misses her dearly,

Kala was a beautiful soul, loved and respected by many. She was known for her fierce and all-encompassing love for her children, her selfless actions, and willingness to help all around her. Kala's happy place was with her children, connecting with nature; barefoot, watching the moon, hiking, and exploring. She loved spontaneous adventures and was an avid picture taker. She loved hard, felt fiercely, and danced to the beat of her own drum. Tattoos were her therapy.

Kala was shot to death on May 11. Burham was on the run until he was arrested in South Carolina two weeks later on May 25. Burham was facing two dozen charges, including killing Kala and the armed kidnapping of an elderly couple. He was charged with raping Kala at the time she was murdered. Burham escaped from Warren County Jail in Pennsylvania. The Ring video shows him setting fire to a vehicle on the night of the murder.

Police are still searching for Burham, who served in the armed forces and is a survivalist.
