O.J. Simpson At The Age Of 76 Has Passed Away
O.J. Simpson's Twitter page has just announced that the former Buffalo Bill has passed away.
The news comes as a shock to many. The announcement says that Simpson had succumbed to cancer.
It appears to have come from his family who are asking for privacy and grace.
Simpson was 76 years old.

OJ was known first in Buffalo for his football skills
He was a standout at USC. He won the Heisman Trophy and then was chosen #1 overall by the Buffalo Bills in the 1969 NFL Draft. Of course, he went on to become a standout on the field in Buffalo too. He was a five-time First Team All-Pro and was chosen for six Pro Bowls.
Controversy followed OJ for years
Many people remember OJ Simpson for the controversy that followed in the 90s. On June 12, 1994, the bodies of Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman were found.
After a very famous car chase featuring OJ in his white Ford Bronco that went on for hours, Simpson eventually surrendered himself to police.
The trial was watched by millions and was one of the most highly analyzed trials of it's time. Simpson was eventually acquitted of the charges.

Simpson goes to jail
In 2007, Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas after trying to reclaim some of his own sports memorabilia by leading some men to a hotel room by gun point.
He was charged with multiple felony counts including kidnapping and armed robbery and spent 10 years in prison.
He denied he had cancer
