It felt like forever, but the Hudson Valley is officially at peak when it comes to foliage.

While it took a little longer than originally predicted, the leaves are finding their colors and bringing an amazing vibrancy and fall feel to the Hudson Valley. I hit the road on Friday to find some great foliage views and I think I found the exact spot.

I headed up to Minnewaska for an afternoon hike on Friday and was not disappointed when it came to the views.

I've been several times throughout the year, but there's something about the way it looks in October with a chill in the air.

If you follow the carriage trail at one point or another you'll pass was looks like a side trail that leads to a look out. Usually people are distracted by the amazing view of the lake from up above.
