A Hudson Valley woman is accused of stealing around $20,000 from a family member who let her stay at her home.

On Tuesday, New York State Police from Dover Plains were sent to a home on Simmons Street in the Village of Millerton for a reported burglary.

Following a detailed investigation police say they discovered that 21-year-old Tiffany Decker, of Millerton stole approximately $20,000 from a family member who allowed her to stay at her home on several occasions.

Millerton was charged with 3rd-degree grand larceny, a class D felony. She was arraigned in the Town of North East Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. She is scheduled to reappear in the North East Court on Monday.
