Hudson Valley Subways Could No Longer Have $5 Footlongs
If you eat at Subway restaurants, potentially bad news: one of their most famous deals could be leaving the Hudson Valley.
USA Today reports that the CEO of Subway restaurants announced that soon, each franchise owner will be able to decide if they want to have the $5 footlong at their restaurant.
The reason for the company to no longer mandate that Subway restaurants have the $5 footlong is because each market has different operating costs. According to the article from USA Today, many franchise owners complained when Subway brought the $5 footlong deal back because they weren't raking in enough profit from the bargain.
