Looking for something fun to do this weekend with the entire family? How about a train ride through the Catskills to see all of the amazing fall colors. Climb aboard the Catskill Mountain Railroad this weekend to enjoy the Fall Foliage Adventure Train Ride. It is peek leaf peeping time in the Hudson Valley and with the holiday weekend you will have extra opportunities to enjoy the scenery.

Trains depart from the Westbrook Station at Kingston Plaza and travel through the Hurley Flats and then return. The jounrey is along part of the old Ulster and Delaware Railroad system. Enjoy the familiar view from a different perspective as you ride in a vintage coach or ride in an open air car and enjoy the crisp fall air. the Fall ride are about an hour and fifteen minutes. Your travel about 8 miles round trip.

The train schedule this weekend is Saturday the 12th, Sunday the 13th and Monday the 14th with three train daily: 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Ticket Prices: Adults tickets are $14 per person, Children ages 2 to 12 are $8 per child, Adult discounted tickets are $13 per person for senior, military or veteran. Toddlers under two on your lap are free.

If you decide to wait to take a ride later this month the Pumpkin Express will be under way starting October 19th. This train ride has the added bonus of letting passengers select their own pumpkin to take home with them to decorate. Wearing Halloween costumes on the Pumpkin Express is also encourage to add to the fun. The Pumpkin Express runs Oct 19, 20, 26 and 27 with trains at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Pumpkin Express tickets are Adults $18 per person, Children ages 2 to 12 are $12 per child, Adult discounted tickets are $16 per person for senior, military or veteran. Toddlers under two on your lap are free.

Buy tickets in advance but walk ups are welcome.
