Former Hudson Valley Man Accused of Killing Father
A former Hudson Valley resident is accused of killing his father while his daughter was in another room.
On Saturday evening, 36-year-old Christopher Yobak allegedly fatally shot his 62-year-old father multiple times in a home they shared in Myrtle Beach, reports Myrtle Beach Online.
According to the mother of Yobak’s child, Jennifer Breault of Poughkeepsie, Yobak is from LaGrange and attended Arlington High School.
Yobak’s current Facebook page confirms he went to Arlington High School and currently lives in Myrtle Beach, S.C. An older Facebook page, given to Hudson Valley Post by Breault, shows that Yobak lived in Poughkeepsie and has ties to Mahopac.
According to Breault, her 4-year-old daughter was sleeping in another room when Yobak allegedly murdered his father, her child’s grandfather.
Police say Yobak was found on his father’s porch smoking a cigarette when officers arrived. He was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Yobak was remanded to J. Rueben Long Detention Center without bail.
