Many dream of a White Christmas, but waking up in the Hudson Valley to a white Thanksgiving might be a reality.

Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Putnam counties could all see some snow Thanksgiving morning, according to the National Weather Service. While Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties is under a hazardous weather watch.

In Dutchess County, there is a slight chance of snow after 3 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. There is a 40% chance of snow before 9 a.m., and rain or snow between 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. The possibility of snow increases in upper Dutchess.

Across the river in Orange County, residents have a slight chance of freezing rain and sleet after 1 a.m. Daybreak on Thanksgiving brings a higher probability of snow before noon, then a chance of rain.

Up in Ulster County, the National Weather Service is predicting a chance of snow after 3 a.m. Daybreak increases the likelihood of snow to 40% before 10 a.m., with a chance of rain and snow after 10 a.m. until noon.

Putnam County has a chance of being hit with freezing rain and sleet after 2 a.m. The county has a 40% chance of snow or freezing rain before noon on turkey day.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester counties.

There is a slight chance of a light wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain that could develop around midnight Thursday and continue into the early morning, officials say.

Motorists traveling on Thanksgiving are urged to use caution as the wintry mix could crated dangerous travel conditions.
