Columbia County Man Charged With Rape

A Columbia County Man was charged with raping a 16-year-old female.

State Police from arrested 46-year-old John P. Hoey, of Germantown, for 3rd-degree rape, a class E felony.

According to State Police, On March 1, 2016, Troopers were notified by the victim’s family that Hoey had reportedly engaged in sexual contact with a 16-year-old female victim.

Hoey was arraigned in the Town of Germantown Justice Court and released on $5,000 cash bail. He is due to reappear in Germantown Court at a later date.
