Anna Rita Maturo, a Longtime Wappingers Falls Resident, Dies at 86

WAPPINGERS FALLS - Anna Rita Maturo, 86, an area resident since 1974 and formerly of Hamden, CT, died peacefully on May 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Haven, CT on June 7, 1930, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Rose Castricone. Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

On April 11, 1953 at the Assumption Church in Woodbridge, CT, Anna married Michael Maturo, Jr. who predeceased her on January 30, 2011.
Anna is survived by her children and their spouses, Cindy and Sergio DiCesare of Wappingers Falls, Michael and Jo-Anne Maturo of Poughquag, Kenneth and Loretta Maturo of Poughquag, and Ronald and Kathleen Maturo of Poughquag; her grandchildren, Rosemarie Evans, Melissa Nero, Michael Matero IV, Matthew Maturo, Kayla Plut, Kenneth Maturo Jr., and Ileana Maturo; and her great-grandchildren, Donald, McKenzie, Dylan, Nichole, Madison, Emma and Willow.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
