
3 Teens Arrested After Hallucinogenic Mushrooms, LSD Found In Car
Three teens were arrested in Dutchess County after police allegedly found hallucinogenic mushrooms, LSD, prescription medication, weed and more in their car.
On Thursday around 10:35 p.m., Red Hook police conducted a traffic stop on an alleged speeding vehicle on Annandale Road in the Town of Red Hook.
During the investigation, it was determined the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Emanuel Balcazar-Sanchez of Rhinebeck, was operating the motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. While a passenger, 18-year-old Caleb C. Jacob of Rhinebeck, was illegally in possession of prescription medication, a large amount of marijuana and over $1,000, police say.
An additional passenger, a 17-year-old female from Saugerties was allegedly in possession of large amount of hallucinogenic mushrooms, LSD and marijuana. She was charged with two-counts of criminal possession of controlled substances, both felonies, and possession of marijuana, a violation.
Balcazar-Sanchez was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Jacob was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
