I met a queen during the fourth of July weekend in the Hudson Valley! She had a lot of knowledge about one of my favorite fruits and she was making her rounds throughout the area.

This queen was visiting Adams Fairacre Farms locations in the Hudson Valley and we got to interview her!

WRRV was hosting this queen’s event at Adams in the Town of Wallkill on July 5, 2025. We showed up and were informing listeners about this exciting event during a holiday weekend.

Upon arriving at Adams, I was really excited. This grocery store is one of my favorites in the Hudson Valley and I always look forward to shopping there. I love how they have one stop shopping under the same roof. The greenhouse is uplifting to visit and filled with beautiful flowers. Their bakery section always has a large selection of sweet treats. Their hot bar and pizza shop has fresh food available which makes it hard to leave without grabbing something.

Most importantly, I love their produce section. Their watermelon is something that I eat everyday throughout the entire year.

This was another reason why I was excited to host the queen’s arrival at Adams in the Town of Wallkill. This wasn’t any ordinary queen, it was the Watermelon Queen!

After visiting the Adams locations, this queen had her last stop at their Town of Wallkill location and we got to hang out with her.
