Attention Village of Fishkill residents:

Got stuff you are looking to get rid of?  If so, now's your chance to start getting everything together, as the Village of Fishkill has announced that they will be offering a curbside bulk pickup for residents on Tuesday, September 24th, and you will need to have all items on the curb the night of Monday, September 23rd for pickup the following morning.

This is not a hazardous waste disposal event, though there is a Dutchess County-wide one scheduled for October 5th.

According to a press release from the Village of Fishkill Clerk's office that was posted on their facebook page, here's the breakdown of items:

The following items ARE acceptable for pickup:

*METALS: Bicycles, washing machines, dryers, lawnmowers, small appliances, metal bed frames, stoves.

*Any items that contain Freon must be Freon free and tagged i.e. refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, etc.

*ACCEPTABLE SOFT AND NATURAL FIBER PRODUCTS: Cardboard games, clothes, lamps, cushions, plastic items, wood chairs, wood tables, mattresses, upholstered chairs, couches.

The following items are NOT acceptable, whatsoever:

*Paint materials, chemicals, tree limbs, engine oil, lawn/garden chemicals, cleaning chemicals, pressurized tanks, turpentine, shellac, sealers, drums, fuel containers, propane tanks, tree stumps/limbs, auto batteries, oil cans, railroad ties, construction debris, computer monitors, TVs.
