The Perfect Late Summer Evening Picnic

It is an annual tradition for me and my friends on Labor Day weekend to attend the West Point Band concert at Trophy Point. We make it an evening of food and fun with friends to close out our summer. Each of us brings a dish and our chairs and we settle in for an amazing evening. There is food and drink available for purchase during the concert but we always pack in our end of season favorites.

If you have ever wanted to take in a concert at West Point this is the one to attend. You sit facing the Hudson River for a night of amazing music accompanied by cannon fire and fireworks. This end of season event showcases the Concert Band, the Hellcats and the Benny Havens Band. It concludes with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture which includes the live cannon fire and an unbelievable fireworks display.
