Stephen Valent Juracek, Jr., a Newburgh Resident, Dies at 78
Stephen Valent Juracek, Jr., of the Town of Newburgh, a retired manager for IBM entered into rest on Thursday, March 16, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh. He was 78.
The son of the late Stephen Valent Juracek, Sr. and Edna Mae (Wright) Juracek, Stephen was born on April 26, 1939 in Newburgh. He was the beloved husband of Beverley Jean Toth Juracek, who survives at home. Stephen was proud to serve our country in as an electronic technician in the US Navy.
Stephen was an exceptional Baseball Pitcher, a great drummer, a member of the NRA and a member of the Wawarsing and Mid-Hudson Rod & Gun Clubs. He shared a selfless love for his family-always above and beyond!
In addition to his beloved wife, Beverley, Stephen has left to cherish his memory his children, Alicia Ann Juracek of the Town of Newburgh and his son, Stephen Valent Juracek III, also of the Town of Newburgh grandchildren, Ryan Juracek, Kaylee Juracek and Tasha Juracek; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Juracek and Miranda Juracek; a sister, Patricia Ann Fitzgerald and numerous very special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 pm, on Tuesday, March 20 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Graveside Service will follow at 12:30 pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
