Ronald Albert Cammarata, a Longtime Area Resident, Dies at 53
WAPPINGERS FALLS - Ronald Albert Cammarata, 53, an area resident for 21 years and formerly of Mahopac, died on March 18,2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 18, 1964 in Bronxville, he was the son of Frank and Carole (Mazzella) Cammarata. Ron was employed as an electrician at Manhattanville College in Purchase since 2000. He enjoyed drag racing, camping and collecting vintage tools and machinery, but more than anything, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
On September 28, 1996 in Mahopac, Ron married Holly (Schwer) who survives at home. In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by his children, Emily, Sophia and Ronnie; his siblings and their spouses, Frank and Eileen Cammarata, and Jennifer and Christopher Amicucci; his mother and father-in-law, Carole and Donald Schwer; his sister-in-law, Stacey Schwer; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
