Police are looking into the similarities between two recent Hudson Valley robberies that spans two counties.

Police are comparing robberies in Rockland and Dutchess Counties The first crime happened last Tuesday at a Chase Bank in Haverstraw. The second robbery occurred Sunday at a TD Bank in Fishkill.

As you can see from photos, pictures above, taken from surveillance videos at both banks, the alleged thief does look similar. Both crimes involved a white male wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Haverstraw Police say the suspect demanded money and showed a note claiming he had a gun, although he didn’t show one.  In Fishkill the male also passed a note demanding cash and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

State Police say the suspect in Fishkill is in his early twenties. He’s about 5’9” and was wearing dark sunglasses, a dark baseball cap, a Harley-Davidson T-shirt, dark pants, and white sneakers.
