Police Need Help Finding Wanted Hudson Valley Sex Offender
Local police are hoping for help as they search for a dangerous Hudson Valley man who is wanted for not registering as a sex offender.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Level-2 sex offender Nelson Bolster. An arrest warrant was issued by the Village of Monticello Court for the 39-year-old from Bloomingburg for failing to register as a sex offender.
According to the New York State sex offender’s database, Bolster was convicted in 2010 of third-degree rape of a victim younger than 17. He was sentenced to one-year in prison.
Nelson Bolster has also gone by the first name Edward, officials say.
Bolster is a 6’2” 196 pound white man with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on both forearms and his right arm.
Anyone with information about Bolster should call the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office at 845-794-7100 or their confidential line at 845-807-0159. Police warn to remain a safe distance from Bolster and don’t try to apprehend him on your own.
