Police: ‘Bundles of Heroin,’ Loaded Gun Found at Hudson Valley Home
Following an investigation, a local man is behind bars after he was allegedly found with a lot of heroin and an illegal loaded gun.
On Friday, the Monticello Police Department arrested 43-year-old Bruce Moses of Monticello after a search warrant of his home executed following an investigation into heroin sales.
Multiple bundles of heroin and an illegally possessed loaded gun were found inside the home, police say.
“This arrest should serve as a reminder to those who distribute deadly drugs and possess illegal and deadly weapons in our Village that we are watching,” Monticello Police Department Chief Robert Mir said.
Moses was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies.
“This investigation underscores what I have long maintained, that the illegal distribution of drugs goes hand in hand with the illegal possession of weapons,” Sullivan County District Attorney Jim Farrell said.
Moses was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $150,000 bail or $300,000 secured bond pending further court action.
