Paul Vervlied Sr. of the Town of Newburgh and Naples, Florida, a retired Field Service Engineer for Xerox entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at St. Mary’s Manor in Lansdale, PA. He was 79.

The son of the late Pierre P. and Anne (Sweeny) Vervlied, he was born, June 9, 1938 in Dumont, NJ.

Paul was the Past Assistant Chief, Past Director and life member of the Cronomer Valley Fire Department and proudly served his country in the in the United Sates Navy. He was a long term member of the Newburgh Yacht Club and formerly a member of the Plattekill Rod & Gun Club and the Notchmen. He also volunteered his time with the Town of Newburgh Little League, NFA Gridiron Boosters Club.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Vervlied and his wife, Michele of Ambler, PA; daughter, Julie Vervlied and wife, Christine English of Blue Bell, PA; sisters; Alice Dymersky of Logan, Utah and Pat Woods of Haworth, NJ; grandchildren: Paul Matthew, Emily, Gavin and Caden.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife Alice R. (Paddock) Vervlied in 2001 and his son, Paul Vervlied Jr. in 1984.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Saturday, July 29th from 10 a.m. to Noon at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, Route 52 (Orange Lake) Town of Newburgh.

Funeral Mass will be offered at Noon following visitation at the Church.Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Middlehope. Repast to follow at the Cronomer Valley Fire Department Social Hall.
