A Hudson Valley benefit show aims to raise funds to build a skate park in Greenwood Lake. The Do It For Dale concert will honor the memory of a local man who passed away in a car accident in 2016. The show takes place on Sunday August 13th starting at 6:30pm at Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park. A $10 minimum donation is recommended.

Dale Hirrel was a local teenager with a dream. He had always wanted to have a skate park in town, but a tragic accident cut his life short at the young age of 16. So now, members of the local community have banded together to help make his dream a reality.

Building a new skate park will cost an estimated $200-300,000 so there's a big hill to climb. You can help by visiting GWLSkatePark.com for more information on how to donate or volunteer. If you can't make this event, up next they'll be hosting Paddlepalooza in September.
