What happens when a New York boy loses his pumpkin?  You put a reward and try to get it back.  This is no ordinary pumpkin.  Six-year old Kevin Beckman, was upset when he discovered the 100-pound pumpkin was stolen from outside of his house on October 12, 2018.

The special pumpkin was planted with seeds by Kevin’s grandfather Thomas who had passed away in May.  The pumpkin went missing from Kevin’s home on North Lewis Avenue in Lindenhurst, Long Island.  According to the story from CBS 2 TV in New York City, said Kevin’s Aunt posted on Facebook that the family was posting a reward of $500 for it’s safe return.

Is there a happy ending to this story?  Tuesday night, the family reported the giant pumpkin was left on the front lawn.  There was a note on the pumpkin asking for the reward money.  The identity of the who returned it, is not known.
