Michele D. Clancy, a Lifelong Newburgh Resident, Dies at 66
Michele D. Clancy, 66, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017. The daughter of the late James and Cecelia (Rasczewski) Heroy, she was born August 22, 1951 in Newburgh.
Michele attended St. Francis Elementary School and Newburgh Public Schools. She was retired from Finkelstein & Partners Law Firm, and also worked for Orange County Dept. of Social Services and Child Find of America, Inc.
Survivors include her husband, Michael P. Clancy; stepson Ryan Clancy and his wife Christina of Newburgh, stepdaughter Lauren Clancy and her fiance Kyle Wolfrum of Wallkill; and step-grandchildren, Calhan Clancy and Maxwell Wolfrum. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital, St. Luke’s/Cornwall Hospital, and Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties for the care and support provided to Michele since September.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 3 at St. Patrick’s Church, Newburgh, where Michele was a parishioner. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
