Lawrence O. Decker, 87, of Stuart, FL, formerly of St. Remy, NY, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Lucie Hospice House, Fort Pierce, FL. He was born March 2, 1930 in Beacon, NY the son of the late Mabel Decker.

He was a graduate of Kingston High School and later served in the US Navy during the Korean War. For many years he was an accountant for IBM in Kingston. Larry was always active in both Esopus, NY and Stuart, FL communities and was an avid golfer. He was a devoted and caring husband to his wife Mary Ann.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Haber) Decker of Saugerties, his daughter, Harriet Leonard of Pittsfield, MA, his granddaughters, Hailey Leonard of Pittsfield, MA and Meghan Losaw and her husband Kyle, and their children, Myren and Jude Losaw all of East Nassau, NY. He is also survived by Mary Ann's children, Michael Kelly of St. Remy, Richard Kelly of Rosendale, Maureen Kelly of Saugerties, and Mary Ellen Burham of Kingston. He was predeceased by a son, L. Boice Decker, a grandson, Patrick J. Leonard, his former wife, Betty Rae Decker, and his step children, Kathryn Foster and Justine Dean.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, where family and friends may visit on Monday September 18 from 5pm to 7pm with the celebration of life starting at 7pm. The funeral procession will form on Tuesday September 19 at 11am at the funeral home and proceeded to Montrepose Cemetery where the service of committal will take place.
