No, it's not Trader Joe's...LOL!

If you spend any time on the various social media platforms that are available today you've probably come across a post or two from friends who have shared their "wants" when it comes to stores or restaurants that they think the Hudson Valley needs.

Hudson Valley "Wants"

Oftentimes a post like this will include mentioning how we need stores like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Chick-fil-A, and White Castle. Honestly, I've added fuel to the fire over the years by sharing numerous thoughts on why we need places like Wawa and Buc-ee's so it should come as no surprise that while traveling on vacation last month I came across another store that I think we need to open in the Hudson Valley ASAP!

Crumbl Cookies

If you like sweet treats and have never heard of or tried Crumbl Cookies yet, you have no idea what you are missing! They are a fairly new cookie company that started in 2017 when co-founders Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley teamed up to try and bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie according to the company's website. After completing the "Crumbl Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie" they decided to open their first location in Logan, Utah selling not only the Crumbl Milk Chocolate Chip Cookie but also offering a rotating menu, which features six flavors at a time.

Seven years later they have over 1,000 locations across the country with 23 stores in New York including stores in Hartsdale, Yorktown Heights, Clifton Park, Latham, New York City, and on Long Island, but none in the Hudson Valley.

Hudson Valley Needs a Crumbl Cookies

I was lucky enough to try their cookies a couple of weeks ago after my son Jackson asked if we could drive to Danbury, CT to try them after he saw some videos on TikTok. Being on vacation with nothing better to do we hopped in the car and drove to the Danbury, CT location at 71 Newtown Road to try them. We ordered a large six-pack of this week's flavors which included flavors like, Oliva Rodrigo's Guts (purple cookie), Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Lemon Glaze, Waffle, Chocolate Chunk, and a cup of Banana Pudding.

After waiting a bit for the order we were presented with their iconic pink box (above) and to say we enjoyed all of them would be an understatement....LOL! The cookies are big enough that we all got to try each one and they just kept getting better and better! (My fav was Oliva Rodrigo's Guts!) After stuffing myself it hit me that we NEED one of these to closer to home! There are vacant storefronts up and down Route 9 from Fishkill to Rhinebeck and I can almost guarantee that a Crumbl would be a big hit!
