Alaska has the last Block Bluster and New York might have the last Kmart.

Do you miss Kmart? Do you have the Blue light blues? ATTENTION KMART SHOPPERS! You may not have heard that since the early 2000s. It's not a memory for some New Yorkers. There is still one Kmart store still open in New York and it is tucked away in the most unlikely spot.

Do you remember shopping at Kmart? It's crazy to think about but there is an entire generation who may be completely unaware that Kmart stores ever existed.

Kmart existed under a few different names for over 100 years but the department store like many others was on a gradual decline for decades. Sometime in the early 2000s Kart merged with Sears and even tried to rebrand as a grocery store and even a dollar store at one time but the identity change did not have large-scale success. If you're like me you may have thought Kmart was extinct and gone for good.

Kmart is still open and it is in New York State

There was surprisingly also a location in New Jersey.

Unfortunately, that store has reportedly closed but that didn't mean it was the end for Kmart.

There is one Kmart store still holding on and believe it or not it is in The Hamptons.

Here is the address for one of the last Kmart stores known to exist. It is located at  2044 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, New York.
