Help: ‘Suicidal’ New York Child Goes Missing in Hudson Valley
Authorities are asking for help as they search for a child who went missing from the Hudson Valley. Police believe the child is "suicidal" and may "need medical attention."
On Thursday the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services sent out a "Missing Child Alert."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Kingston Police Department. Vasu Rampersaud went missing on Thursday from Ulster County.

The 16-year-old was last seen Thursday at 9 a.m. on Grove Street in the City of Kingston.
He was believed to be walking on or near Grove Street, officials say.

"Rampersaud is a missing child who is believed to be suicidal and may be in need of medical attention," authorities stated in the alert.

He is described as being 5'7" and 143 pounds with black hair and black eyes.
Police say he's of Middle Eastern descent and was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, blue jeans, and a face mask. He was not wearing the glasses, as seen in the photo authorities provided, officials say.

Update: The missing alert for Rampersaud was canceled Friday morning. More details weren't released.
Officials are still searching for another missing teen who was last seen in Kingston.
