Scenes from the fourth season of the popular HBO series 'THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA' were filmed in the Hudson Valley in the summer of 2019 but only now has the massive financial impact come to light.

According to the Hudson Valley Film Commission, over a five day period, the production spent north of $200,000 on lodging, vendors, crew, and locations here in the Hudson Valley. That includes a total of 1,397 hotel rooms and work for a local excavation company creating a road for the show. Line Producer Joe Guest had this to say about filming in the area.

Working in the Hudson Valley for THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA was a truly enjoyable experience. It was a beautiful time of year to work upstate and the people, towns and communities were tremendously supportive and friendly. The Hudson Valley Film Commission provided exceptional support from day one.

Guest stated that he looks forward to working in upstate New York again. When it came time to find everything they needed for the 1940s era show, they were able to obtain the right automobiles, props and sets to make things work under a tight deadline.

HBO's THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA stars Winona Ryder, John Turturro, Zoe Kazan, and others. The six-part series follows a working-class Jewish New Jersey family in an alternate American reality where Charles Lindbergh becomes president and turns the country towards fascism. Season four debuted in mid-March.
