A firefighter from the Fairview Fire District catches dramatic footage of a recent Hyde Park fire via Go-Pro. The fire which took place on West Dorsey Lane Friday afternoon had already consumed much of the first floor and rear of the house by the time first responders arrived. At that point, the fire was considered dangerous to a nearby vehicle and structure.

No one was home at the time of the fire but two firefighters sustained minor injuries. A dog was home, but was rescued in time. The fire was under control with an hour of firefighters arriving on scene.

Watching the video gives you a first hand account of what it's like to fight a fire without all the danger that being there would entail. The video begins with the firefighter dousing the nearby car and structure that were in danger of igniting. He then turns to the engulfed home and begins to extinguish the blaze. Special thanks to the Fairview Fire District for sharing the video.
