Every Tom Petty Show Was My Favorite Tom Petty Show

I can't even believe what I am reading. How could it possibly be that Tom Petty is dead. He was only 66, and seemed to be in fine form. I just saw him a few months ago at Mountain Jam. He was, as always, amazing.

My favorite shows were at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. And PNC Arts Center. And Mountain Jam. Yup, every show was so great I couldn't even try to pick one favorite. I almost didn't go to Mountain Jam this year. I am so glad that I changed my mind and drove up there. The only act I caught was Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

I read recently that Tom Petty was planning to spend less time on the road and more time with family. He said he has a grandchild that he wanted to spend time with. Life is short and precious, we should do our best to enjoy every minute of it. And if we're lucky, we'll have made a difference. Like Tom Petty did.
