Dorylee Ann Campbell, A Wappingers Falls Resident, Dies at 83
Dorylee Ann Campbell, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Friday, February 10, 2017 at her home. She was 83.
Daughter of the late Charles and Helen Ogniewski, she was born June 22, 1933 in Troy, New York. On January 24, 1960, she married Arthur F. Campbell in Troy. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death on September 25, 1992.
Dorylee was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She enjoyed her Wednesday Sewing Circle, where she made several lifelong friends. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a wonderful cook. She was a very involved grandmother and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Dorylee was known for her charity, giving to many different causes. Later in life, she loved to lunch and enjoyed that time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Arthur F. Campbell, Jr. and his partner, William Rodriguez of Wappingers Falls and Kelly Campbell-Aponte and her husband, Maximo Aponte of Beacon; her grandchildren, Cole Johnston of Belguim, Pierce Johnston of Beacon and Kyra Johnston of Beacon.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Ryan and her brother, Charles Ogniewski.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 16 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
