Dominick S. Parisi, of the Town of Newburgh, passed away at home on January 28, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 94. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 24, 1922, he was the son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Greco) Parisi. He married his wife Lucy, who predeceased him, in Kingston, NY in 1951.

A parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, Dominick was educated in the Newburgh School District and served our country proudly in the United States Army from 1942-1945.  He was the original owner of Spar Floor Covering Company

Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter Marian L. Boccia (Julius) of Newburgh; grandchildren Michael Fisher (Jeanne) and Rene Fisher Coughlin, all of Newburgh; great-grandchildren Brandon Szeli, Courtney Szeli-Jeche (Jeff), Elizabeth Fisher, Corey Fisher Baker (Matt); great- great grandson, Quinn Michael Baker; his sister Ann Gizzarelli, his brother Ernest Parisi, sister-in-law Carole Parisi; several nieces and nephews, and dear friend of the family, Robert Fisher. Beside his parents and his wife Lucy, he was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Thomas, and Rudolph Parisi; and sisters Antoinette Favata and Phyllis Graham.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, January 31 at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, February 1 at St Francis of Assisi Church, Father Bill Damroth officiating. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh.
