96 hours after a call went out for shelters to house dogs impacted by Hurricane Harvey, over 50 arrived in New York, many in the Hudson Valley. Pets Alive received 20 dogs, the Hudson Valley SPCA 12. Instead of waiting for death, the animals now await their new forever home. Organizations need help in the form of blankets, bedding, leashes, toys, food and donations for medical costs.
