David Langlais, a Wappingers Falls Resident, Dies at 54
David Langlais, of Wappingers Falls, died on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 54.
He was born in New York City on May 15, 1962 and grew up in the Hell’s Kitchen section of Manhattan. His family later relocated to Flushing, Queens. David moved to Dutchess County in 1989.
For many years, he worked as a building supervisor as a member of the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ. David enjoyed spending time fishing and golfing.
He is survived by two daughters, Colleen Langlais of Hopewell Junction and Taylor Langlais of Long Beach, NY; his mother, Marié (Morizur) Langlais of Fishkill; his brother, Pascal Langlais of New Jersey; his sister, Ghislaine Langlais of Fishkill; his former wife & friend, Patti Langlais of Astoria, Queens; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives & friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Jean Langlais.
Calling hours will be held from 5 – 9 p.m. on Monday, April 3rd at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4th at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
