Clifford H. Paige, a Town of New Windsor Resident, Dies at 73
Clifford H. Paige, age 73, of the Town of New Windsor, passed away on August 22, 2017 in Newburgh, NY. He was a resident of New Windsor for 46 years.
Clifford was born in Gouverneur, NY to Melvin and Viola Paige on June 7th, 1944. He married his wife of 49 years, Marianne Williams, on May 4th, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from SUNY Canton where he studied Heating and Air Conditioning. Clifford worked as a Facilities Technician and Manager at IBM for 40 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and served as a Machinist Mate 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy for six years, and was qualified in diesel and nuclear powered submarines. Clifford was recently inducted into the Holland Club for being qualified in submarines for 50 years. He loved hiking and photography, and was a member of the Black Rock Fish and Game Club. Clifford offered help to anyone in need, and was a great lover of animals. He remains, forever, his family's greatest hero.
Clifford is preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Jennifer Paige, his sister, Mary Lopez, and his mother and father, Viola and Melvin Paige.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Marianne Paige. His children Jeffery Paige and his wife Tracy and their children Annie and Alex, Jason Paige and his wife Katey and their children Gavin and Nathan, and his youngest daughter, Jillian Paige. His siblings Francis and her Husband Mike Kelley of Lake Jackson, TX, Janice and her husband James Kelley of West Chazy, NY, James Paige and his wife Kathy of Fairborne, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday, August 25 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service will be held at 10 am on Saturday at the funeral home, with burial with military honors following in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
