HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Charlene H. Brill, 66, a lifelong area resident, died on July 10, 2016 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Charlene was born in Kingston on June 26, 1950. She attended the New Paltz Campus School and graduated in 1968 from Highland High School. She had been employed as an administrative assistant at IBM in Poughkeepsie, an administrative assistant for Putnam ARC, a licensed Real Estate Agent for Rand Manning and Country Charm Real Estate, a receptionist for Steven Amendola Salon, and a rental agent for Mountainview Garden Apartments.

Charlene enjoyed swimming gardening, and traveling. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by them.

On March 10, 1973 in Hopewell Junction, she married Charles B. Brill who survives at home. She is also survived by her son, Charles F. Brill and his husband Lex of Lord’s Valley, PA; her parents, Charles and Margaret (Rosenkranse) Simpson, Sr. of Clintondale; her brother Hobart J. Simpson, Sr. of Zephyr Hills, FL; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles A. Simpson, Jr. and her nephew, Hobart J. Simpson, Jr.
