Carol Ann Newman Rogers, A Lifelong Newburgh Resident, Dies at 75

Carol Ann Newman Rogers, a lifelong resident of Newburgh passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Vassar Hospital.  She was 75.

Born in Newburgh, on June 20, 1941, Carol was the daughter of the late Helen Hughes and Ralph Newman.  She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1958, and retired from Verizon.  Carol was a kind and generous person.  She liked to read, and go to Broadway plays.  She also enjoyed traveling which she did extensively.

Carol is survived by her brothers, Joseph Newman of Florida; Michael Newman of Round Rock, Texas; Gregory Newman of Newburgh and Ralph Newman also of Newburgh; her sisters, Rosemarie Pendino of New Windsor; Linda Partington of Austin Texas; and Patricia Arthurs of Walden, NY.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother Carl Newman.

Visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Tuesday, January 3 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY.  A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 11am at the Brooks Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY
