Augustine “Tino” Ramos, A Newburgh Resident, Dies at 90

Augustine "Tino" Ramos of the Town of Newburgh, a self- employed contractor entered into rest Thursday, February 14, 2017. He was 90.

Son of the late Primitivo and Maria (Montero) Ramos, Tino was born January 1, 1927 in Peñones Boqueron Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona (Cruz-Oyola-Rivera) Ramos, children; John Ramos, James Nelson Ramos, Marcus Luis Ramos and Emeline Ramos; siblings; Angel Luis Ramos, George Ramos, Nelly Ramos, Rosa Ramos, Neirada Ramos; grandchildren: Melissa, Victoria, Breeanna, Michael, Gabrielle, Anthony, Andrew, Isabella and Nicholas; great-grandchildren; Marshall Jr., Alyssa, Aydin and Lucas. In addition to his parents, Tino was predeceased by a son, Augustine Ramos Jr. siblings; Pedro Ramos, Manuel Ismael Ramos, Porfirio Ramos, Victor Ramos and Maria Ramos Camacho Lindburgh.

Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Memorial visitation will take place Sunday, February 19th from 2 to 4 p.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd., (Rte 32) Newburgh.

Funeral service will commence 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
