92-Year-Old New York Woman Plows Into Police Vehicle

This just may reignite the debate on "how old is too old to drive?"

The Times Union is reporting that a 92 year-old woman rear-ended a police car in Colonie Sunday. The police cruiser was reportedly stopped at a red light when the accident happened.

The crash shut down traffic to one lane for around an hour, according to The Times-Union.

Luckily, there weren't any fatalities. The Times Union says that the officer, Eric Montijo, was taken to the hospital and later released after he initially complained of neck pain. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she remains in stable condition.

This once again raises the question about elderly people behind the wheel.

Should someone that age be out on the road driving? Was it just an innocent mistake that even a much younger person could have caused? Should there be mandatory tests administered past a certain age for drivers to pass?
