2 Hudson Valley Teens Found with Forged Payroll Checks, Forged Credit Cards and Marijuana
Two local teenagers are facing a number of charges for allegedly possessing forged payroll checks, credit cards, drugs and more.
On Wednesday just before 7 p.m., State Police in Bethlehem stopped a car on the Interstate 87 for an alleged speeding violation.
The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Khalil T. Sharp of Poughkeepsie and his passenger, 18-year-old DeAndre D. Green of Kingston were found to be in possession of forged payroll checks, forged credit cards and approximately 15 grams marijuana, police say.
Sharp was placed in custody at the scene. Green allegedly fled. He was tracked by a State Police K-9 unit, and is accused of actively resisted arrest prior to being taken into custody
Both were charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony, and a violation for unlawful possession of marijuana. Sharp also received a violation for speeding.
Green was additionally charged with resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration, criminal trespass and criminal impersonation, all misdemeanors.
Both were arraigned before the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail. Sharp in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond and Green in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or bond.
Both men are schedule to reappear on February 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
