Xiomara Trainor, a resident of Poughquag since 2014, died suddenly and tragically on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was 40.
She was born in the Bronx on July 19, 1977. In 1986, her family relocated to Dutchess County, where she attended Wappingers Central Schools and graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School. She later attended New York University.
For eight years, she was an Executive Assistant for Arden Asset Management in Manhattan. Several years later, she became the A.V. Coordinator for N.B.C. Studios.
Xiomara enjoyed many hobbies such as photography, dancing, culinary, softball, playing cards, and music.
On June 11, 2006, she married Brett A. Trainor in Little Torch Key, FL. Together, they had a daughter, Xienna Paris Trainor (10). Brett and Xienna both survive at home in Poughquag.
She is also survived by her mother, Lynette Abrams of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Benito Garcia, Jr. & his wife Mary of Fishkill; her brother, Bobby Garcia of Poughkeepsie; her brother, Blue Garcia of Poughkeepsie; her brother, Billy Garcia of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Brendan Garcia of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Benlynx Garcia of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Lynnette McCarthy & her husband Gary of New Fairfield, CT; her sister, Cynthia Paris of Boston, MA; her sister, Lisa Paris of Gilbert, AZ; her brother, Trejon Paris of the Bronx; her grandmother, Doris Muñoz of Puerto Rico; her mother-in-law, Kim Trainor-Dahlman & her husband Bill of Chicago; her father-in-law, Bob Trainor, Jr. & his wife Vicki of West Palm Beach, FL; her sister-in-law, Kelly Trainor & her fiancé Stephen Dykun of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives & friends.
Xiomara was preceded in death by her stepfather, Benito Garcia, Sr. in 2016 and her father, Juan Paris in 2007.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 27 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery.
