Tropical Storm Fay To Hit Hudson Valley This Weekend
Rain is a good thing, right?
In the past few days the Hudson Valley has seen, or more so felt, extreme heat. Think Florida like weather, hot and humid with scattered storms, just the New York version.
On Thursday, Hudson Valley Weather reported that we were feeling highs in the mid 90's. Now they're reporting a tropical storm may be heading our way.
Hudson Valley Weather took to Facebook to share images and information on Tropical Storm Fay.
According to the post, which was shared on Thursday afternoon, Hudson Valley Weather said that Tropical Storm Fay had "officially formed" off the coast of the Carolina's. They added that Fay is set to "track NE and into the Hudson Valley by Saturday."
What should we expect from Tropical Storm Fay?
The Hudson Valley Weather radar says "Heavy rainfall is expected to impact the region" and that flood watches have already been issued by the National Weather Service.
Flood watches shouldn't be taken lightly in the Hudson Valley. Earlier this week after strong thunderstorms hit the area, Orange County saw dangerous flooding near 9W and Route 32 in Newburgh right in front of the Alexis Diner.
